Ingredients

For dough

  • 2 ½ cup all-purpose flour or bread flour.
  • 2 ½ tsp of yeast or one packet of yeast
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ cup lukewarm water
  • ½ cup milk

For sauce

  • 1/3 cup BBQ sauce
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup chicken stock
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Two cloves garlic, sliced

Toppings

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • Red onion, sliced
  • Jalapeños, sliced
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded 
  • Gouda cheese, shredded

Method

Dough

  1. Firstly, In a bowl, pour warm water. Gently add in 4 tbsp of flour, yeast, and sugar and mix and. After that, let the mixture sit for 5 to 10 minutes. As a result, yeast should be bloomed and water should have a foamy surface.
  2. Then, In a mixing bowl, add in your remaining flour, salt, olive oil and mix well to form a sand-like texture.
  3. Gradually add in your yeast mixture and knead too well.
  4. Now gradually add milk and knead well to form a dough.
  5. Furthermore, take a large bowl, grease it with olive oil and place your dough in it.
  6. Drizzle olive oil to coat the dough and cover it with plastic wrap. After that, let it rest for about 1 to 2 hours until doubled in size.

BBQ pizza sauce

  2. Add sliced garlic and let it sauté for a minute.
  3. Move the pan from heat and add BBQ sauce, tomato sauce, dried oregano, and chicken stock.
  4. Cook it well until the chicken stock is all cooked out.

Pizza preparation and topping

  1. Firstly, prepare the baking tray by greasing it with oil. If you have a pizza stone, you can use that.
  2. Preheat the oven to 200 C.
  3. In a bowl, add shredded chicken with 1/3 cup of the BBQ pizza sauce and mix well.
  4. On a clean countertop, take the dough out and knead for few seconds. In Addition, divide it into two halves. Roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle and transfer it to a pizza stone or greased baking tray.
