Veggie pizza has a notorious reputation in the pizza family. Some might say that veggie pizza is healthier than regular pizza. Yes, it might be since it full of your favorite vegetable that balances out the heaviness of cheese on your palate. No doubt, a veggie pizza, is made right, and any meat lover will eat it and enjoy it the same. It depends on the veggie pizza, the topping, sauce, and ratio of all with the thickness of the dough.
Our veggie pizza recipe is healthy and has a delicious spin-off on sauce, toppings, and dough. The dough has a different flavor that perfectly matches the traditional tomato pizza sauce and the mozzarella cheese. It is heavenly that you cannot stop yourself from taking another slice of our veggie pizza.

Ingredients
For dough
- 2 ½ cup all-purpose flour or bread flour.
- 2 ½ tsp of yeast or one packet of yeast
- 2 tsp sugar
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ cup lukewarm water
- ½ cup milk, room temperature
For sauce
- 1 can of crushed tomatoes
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 1/3 cup chicken stock
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp thyme
- 2 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Toppings
- Red onion, sliced
- Jalapeños, sliced
- Red bell pepper, julienned
- Green bell pepper, julienned
- broccoli, chopped
- Basil
- Black Olives
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Fresh Mozzarella mini balls
Method
Dough
- In a bowl, pour warm water. Gently add in 4 tbsp of flour, yeast, and sugar, and mix. Let the mixture sit for 5 to 10 minutes until the yeast is bloomed and water has a foamy surface.
- In a mixing bowl, mix remaining flour, salt, dried oregano, garlic powder, and olive oil.
- Gradually add in your yeast mixture and milk to knead well.
- Take a large bowl, grease it with olive oil and place your dough in it.
- Drizzle olive oil to coat the dough as well and cover it with plastic wrap. Let it rest for about 1 to 2 hours until doubled in size.
Pizza sauce
- In a pan, heat oil at medium heat.
- Add sliced garlic and let it sauté for a minute.
- Move the pan from heat and add crushed tomatoes with the water, tomato sauce, dried oregano, dried thyme, chili flakes, salt, pepper, and chicken stock.
- Cook it well until the chicken stock is all cooked out.
- Let it cool before using.
Pizza preparation and topping
- Prepare the baking tray by greasing it with oil or the pizza stone.
- Preheat the oven to 200 C.
- Take the dough out on a clean work surface and knead for few seconds. Divide it into two halves. Roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle and transfer it to a pizza stone or greased baking tray.
- With the help of a fork, poke the pizza dough to let the air bubble escape while baking.
- Spread out 2 to 3 tbsp of pizza sauce.
- Top the pizza with the Red onion, Jalapeños, Red bell pepper, Green bell pepper, broccoli, Mozzarella cheese, torn Fresh Mozzarella mini balls, black olives, and Basil.
- Bake the pizza for 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the dough’s edges are golden.
- Take the pizza out, Drizzle olive oil.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
